Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter in Brick, New Jersey is seeking a Group Home Manager to lead a Community Living residence and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will direct daily operations, recruit and coach Direct Support Professionals, ensure IHP-aligned services, coordinate healthcare and community resources, and maintain licensing readiness while promoting safety, respect, and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with no more than five points.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to supervise employees with a person-centered approach.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of an assigned Community Living residence while maintaining quality, person-centered services.
• Establish a home environment that promotes safety, respect, independence, and individual choice.
• Monitor program activities to follow agency policies and regulatory standards.
• Identify and address operational issues promptly while maintaining continuity of services.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals and supervisory staff.
• Develop staff schedules and provide coaching and guidance to strengthen skills.
• Ensure services align with each individual's IHP and coordinate healthcare, behavioral, therapeutic, and community supports.
