Kroger in Knoxville is seeking a Front End/Department Associate to deliver outstanding service and maintain a clean, safe store environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding QA standards and the Customer 1st strategy.

The role emphasizes respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking and inspecting products, answering questions, and ensuring correct pricing and freshness.

Formación

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Effective communication with customers and teammates.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Second language skills are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an inviting environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products in the department and respond to inquiries.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and ensure freshness.
• Report ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature controls.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and notify about repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Report any illegal activity and maintain essential job function compliance.
