Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Front-end Associate to deliver outstanding customer experiences in a safe, clean store environment. You will support the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals, supervise front-end duties, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, budgets, and action plans, while promoting teamwork and strong customer service through product knowledge and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations on a busy sales floor.
• Effective communication skills with customers and coworkers.
• Knowledge of basic math for transactions and counts.
• Retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions.
• Gain knowledge of products and make recommendations.
• Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
• Assist with cash control, sales records, and monetary items.
• Schedule Front-end associates to ensure proper department coverage.
• Assist with budgeting, P&L reviews, and action on financial reports.
• Develop and implement department action plans to achieve results.
• Collaborate with Front-end staff to promote teamwork.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay updated on ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature logs where applicable.
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activity, and notify management.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer issues.
