Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Experience as Forklift Operator, Dock/Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Use safe lifting techniques and proper blocking/bracing.
• Weigh and dimension shipments and ensure proper classification.
• Review freight bills and manifests for accuracy.
• Check for hazardous material paperwork and placarding.
• Document shortages or damage and ensure correct labeling.
• Ensure safe weight distribution and cube utilization.
• Verify and secure freight to prevent shifting during transport.
