Job summary

Southern Freight Lines is seeking a part-time PT Inbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling. You will use forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move, load, and arrange freight, while inspecting shipments for damage or shortages.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to pass a background check and drug test, and preferred forklift certification or prior warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check and an alcohol and drug test.
• Preference for forklift certification.
• Prior experience as forklift operator, dock worker, warehouse worker, or material handler is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from equipment using safe lifting techniques and proper equipment.
• Prepare trailers by sweeping, inspecting, and cleaning before loading freight.
