Job summary

The position supports customers with freight documents and may include hostling duties. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 18+ years of age and prior warehousing experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Forklift/hostler experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry varying freight weights and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck to move freight.
• Verify freight descriptions against documents.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
