Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a part-time Specialist I, Financial Aid at the Southeast Campus. You will serve as the primary receptionist for the Financial Aid Office and assist students with applying for and understanding how to receive financial aid.

The role requires excellent customer service, familiarity with higher education and financial aid processes, and the ability to work 5:00pm–7:00pm, Monday through Thursday in a non-remotely eligible environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year experience supporting and serving customers.
• Knowledge of higher education and college financial aid programs.
• Excellent customer service and written/spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets students in the Financial Aid Office and directs requests.
• Provides financial aid application guidance and explains aid distribution.
• Files records, posts information, sorts mail, copies documents, answers phones.
• Computes amounts and checks totals on reconciliation reports.
• Inputs and retrieves financial aid data as needed.
