Job summary

Staker Parson Companies in Utah is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heavy equipment across assigned locations. You will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and field repairs to minimize downtime and support operational excellence.

The role requires afternoon/evening shifts from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with safety as a top priority. Responsibilities include using diagnostic tools, completing work orders, maintaining inventory, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment including crushers, conveyors, loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and diesel engine systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services per manufacturer and company standards.
• Respond to field service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventory of service truck parts, tools, and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies (MSHA, OSHA, DOT) and environmental regulations.
• Communicate status and repair recommendations with operations and maintenance teams.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and major component rebuilds as needed.
