Job summary

Staker Parson Companies seeks an experienced vehicle technician to inspect and service diesel engines, lubricate moving parts, and manage fluid levels. The role includes oil changes, filters, and quality control of belts and hoses.

You’ll diagnose issues, document repairs, and support safety and maintenance operations on-site at our Ogden-area operations. The position requires reading safety manuals, basic math, and teamwork, with potential shop, yard, or field work.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Ability to work well with others in group or one-on-one settings.
• Must be able to type and use keyboards; basic database software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil/filter changes, lubrication, coolant, fuel).
• Analyze malfunctions and report for further diagnostics or repair.
• Operate and inspect vehicle equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment with hand tools.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Create work orders, schedule PMs, document repairs using maintenance software.
• May work in shop, yard, or on job sites.
• Perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.

Valid CDL A with tanker/Hazmat
