Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of construction and aggregate equipment across assigned locations. The role aims to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability through preventative maintenance and on-site field service.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, and the ability to read service manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, or aggregate processing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, including crushers, conveyors, loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and diesel engine systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Respond to field service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Use computerized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Complete work orders, equipment inspections, and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventory of service truck parts, tools, and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with operations personnel, supervisors, and maintenance teams regarding equipment status and repair recommendations.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and major component rebuilds as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
