Staker Parson Companies in Utah seeks a skilled Mechanic to keep our construction operation running smoothly. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment including trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and mobile engines, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

Strong problem-solving, hands-on capability, and teamwork are essential as you support field crews and ensure equipment uptime across sites nationwide.

Competenze

• Preferably 5 years or so of prior experience working as an automotive mechanic, including mechanical maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Experience with heavy construction equipment such as Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, light-duty vehicles, and small engines is highly valued.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Mansioni

• Diagnose issues and perform durable, cost-effective repairs across a wide variety of equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and gasoline systems, including engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
• Dismantle equipment to access and repair defective parts using hoists, hand tools, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter changes, and scheduled inspections.
• Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, on-site shop tools, and non-mobile equipment across the company.
• Order and track parts, manage purchase orders and invoices, and keep accurate repair records.
• Use computer systems to support diagnostics, work orders, and parts management.
• Adjust functional components, install new structural and functional parts, and weld broken components when needed.
• Test and inspect equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to the field.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support company safety policies and participate in safety programs.
• Position may require drug screening, medical exams, and physical agility testing.
