Providence College seeks an evening proctor to support Accessibility Services by supervising exams with accommodations and maintaining a secure testing environment. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and comfort with technology including Excel. Evening shifts are 4:30 pm–8:00 pm on fall and spring terms, about 14 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Prior experience with data programs, especially Excel.
  • General aptitude with technology and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Some familiarity with disability accommodations and ADA/504.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students taking exams with academic accommodations.
  • Set up and support testing-taking technology as needed.
  • Reach out to faculty during exams with student questions.
  • Manage and replenish testing equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a secure, distraction-free testing environment and report violations.
  • Assist in coordinating daily testing accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Prepare the daily exam schedule and proctoring room.
  • Process, organize, and print copies of exams for subsequent testing days.
  • Generate test scheduling reminders to faculty and students.
  • Scan and package completed exams for return to faculty.
  • Assist in coordinating make-ups and perform other duties as assigned.
