Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge, with emphasis on patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Ideal candidates hold Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and preferably a BSN. A sign-on bonus may be available; employment offers are based on hours, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies and operates equipment according to policy and procedure.
• Assists physician with treatment and procedures and special tests as required or directed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
