Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking an Environmental Services Aide (Part-time, 20 hrs/wk) for the onsite Cooley Dickinson Hospital site in Northampton, MA. The role supports clean, sanitary environments to high standards and reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient areas, bathrooms and common spaces; restocking supplies; following infection control policies; and responding to requests via the department pager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-3 years of environmental services/housekeeping experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions required
• Experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail and high-quality customer service skills required

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, horizontal surfaces, walls, furnishings and floors to high cleanliness standards
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock expendables daily
• Dry mop and damp mop floors; vacuum assigned areas
• Collect and transport trash to designated areas according to regulations
• Clean entrances, hang draperies, and adjust blinds as needed
• Move patient beds as requested and set up meeting rooms
• Monitor department pager and respond to requests promptly
• Follow infection control policies and maintain safety practices
