Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a diligent hospital cleaner for the evening shift at 32 Fruit Street, Boston, MA. The role maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary environment within a hospital setting, with regular evening hours from 6 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday.

The position requires 2-3 years of experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Onsite work with a regular 25-hour weekly schedule supports community health and facility

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Pick up debris around the building and surrounding areas.
• Operate and control high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and routine hospital activities.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
