Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital in Indiana is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Evening shift (3x12s, 5p-5a). The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates with physicians and the care team, administers medications, and participates in life-saving procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
• RN licensure required; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency and scope.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Documents patient care and education promptly in the medical record.
• Engages in professional development to maintain clinical competency and regulatory awareness.
