Job summary

Mount Carmel East is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to deliver patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will work three 12-hour shifts weekly, 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays, under Trinity Health’s Mount Carmel system.

The role involves phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and documenting vital signs, with teamwork supporting trauma, stroke, and resuscitation protocols. Requires a high school diploma and BLS; prior patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of courses including basic patient care, EKG, phlebotomy, and BLS as part of licensure.
• Experience in patient care or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transport and escort patients as needed.
• Perform visual acuity, eye irrigations, and equipment setups.
