Job summary

Mount Carmel East is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced ED. Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6pm to 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays, contributing to trauma, stroke, and sepsis responses with a dedicated team.

Your responsibilities include assisting patients, phlebotomy, wound care, EKGs, vital signs, and clear communication with RNs and physicians to ensure timely care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of an approved course covering basic patient care skills, EKG, phlebotomy, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transporting and escorting patients.
• Performing visual acuity, eye irrigation and equipment setups.
• Phlebotomy and lab specimen collection as ordered.
• Participating in trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation.
