Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Full-time Emergency Department Technician for the evening shift (11:00am-11:00pm), 36 hours/week with rotating weekends. The ED Tech will assist healthcare teams in planning and delivering emergency and minor care, perform procedures under supervision, and complete BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications include EMT-B certification, US Military Hospital Corps School/MMAC, or active clinical program enrollment; prior

• EMT-B certification required at time of hire.
• Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, MMAC candidates considered.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) with at least one semester completed.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
