Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Full-time Emergency Department Technician for evening shifts (11:00am-11:00pm), 36 hours/week. You will assist clinicians, perform procedures under supervision, and contribute to rapid stabilization of a wide range of cases.

The role requires HS diploma, BLS, and EMT-B or equivalent qualifications. Training and hospital benefits are included; prior ED or clinical exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent.
• BLS certification (AHA) within 90 days of hire.
• EMT-B or Military Hospital Corps/MMAC or clinical program student eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care in the ED.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• Provide emergent stabilization for wide range of acute and traumatic conditions.
• Support care for pediatric to geriatric patients in a fast-paced ED.
