Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking Direct Support Professionals for evening shifts (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting in New Jersey. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with paid training and opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living activities, medication administration, documentation, and facilitating community participation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication; able to work independently with professionalism and good judgment.
• Demonstrate stability with previous employer and be eligible for onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evening routines, meal prep, personal care, medication administration, and household tasks.
• Support home environment; maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Encourage healthy routines and independence; respect personal preferences.
• Help participants engage in hobbies, community activities, and outings.
• Document care and daily notes; maintain medication records as required.
