Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to move freight across the dock area and between trailers. The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying freight documentation, and securing loads for safe transit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing/freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/move heavy freight and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Verify documentation matches freight description and weights.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
