Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate delivery operations by overseeing driver assignments and communication. The role ensures timely departures and arrivals, answers driver questions, and supports daily routing activities in a team environment.

The position emphasizes DOT compliance, accurate administrative tasks, and professional interaction with customers and vendors. Monday–Friday with potential Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years dispatch and commercial driver experience or related area.
• 6-12 months previous logistic/dispatch experience.
• 2-4 years dispatch and commercial driver experience within the food service industry (preferred).
• 6-12 months previous logistic/dispatch experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• The schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday 1pm to 8pm, occasional Saturdays.
• Monitors and maintains daily driver updates to sales and systems.
• Monitors and maintains drivers' daily paperwork.
• Updates and performs data entry into department and company database.
• Responds to incoming calls and emails timely and effectively.
• Reviews, researches and resolves discrepancies on weekly reports.
• Ensures compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
• Responsible for Fuel billing, ordering and reporting.
• Supports the Routing Department with drivers' paperwork and materials.
• Communicates with customers, vendors and company personnel in a positive and proactive manner.
• Reports all accidents per PFG policy and procedures.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
