Job summary

Performance Food Group in Georgia is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to oversee the scheduling and dispatch of delivery operations. You will assign drivers to trucks, monitor on-time departures and arrivals, and communicate with drivers via computers, phones or radios to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years dispatch and commercial driver experience or related area.
• Preferred: 2-4 years dispatch and commercial driver experience within the food service industry.

Responsibilities

• Dispatchers keep track of the progress drivers make along their route using available technology.
• Check drivers in and out of terminals and transfer trip records into company files.
• Communicate with drivers daily and handle customer requests and complaints.
• Calculate miles for all trucks.
• Determine travel and route times to compute delivery costs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
