Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate delivery operations and driver schedules. You will communicate with drivers and customers to keep shipments on track and handle daily paperwork, ensuring DOT compliance and accurate data entry.

The role supports a fast-paced food distribution network, with a Monday–Friday shift from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and occasional Saturdays. Prior dispatch experience in logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 1-2 years dispatch and commercial driver experience or related area
• 6-12 months previous logistic/dispatch experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall scheduling and dispatch for delivery operations
• Communicate with truck drivers via computers, phones or two-way radios
• Assign drivers to trucks and ensure on-time departures and arrivals
• Monitor daily driver updates, paperwork, and DOT compliance
• Respond to calls and emails promptly and resolve discrepancies
• Enter data into department databases and support routing with driver paperwork
