Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a dispatcher/routing coordinator to manage scheduling and routing for delivery operations. You will communicate with drivers via computers, phones or radios, assign drivers to trucks, and ensure timely departures and arrivals while assisting drivers with traffic or weather issues.

You will also interact with customers and vendors professionally to answer questions and support the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of dispatch/routing and commercial driver experience or related area.
• Experience in routing within food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall scheduling and routing of delivery operations.
• Assign drivers to trucks and ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
• Answer driver questions and help avoid traffic delays; communicate with customers, vendors and coworkers.
• Calculate miles and determine travel times for delivery cost accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the company.
