Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must also have a valid driver's license.
• Language skills: ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills and use of a calculator.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and staff.
• Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds and physical stamina requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily tasks such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meals, and budgeting.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed with a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Maintain communication with staff via logs, meetings, and documentation of client progress.
• Complete required documentation including reports, forms, and monthly logs in line with policies.
• Follow medication management guidelines and monitor related procedures.
