Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work evenings at Heritage Apartments in Russellville, AR. The role supports clients in daily living skills and community activities within home and community settings.

You will assist with transportation, documentation, and Plan of Care monitoring, while ensuring health, safety and confidentiality. A valid AR driver’s license and compliance with HIPAA policies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or two+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must also have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meals, and budgeting.
• Provides transportation to activities and appointments; a valid Arkansas Driver's License is required.
• Maintains communication via logs and meetings regarding clients' needs and progress toward their plan of care.
• Completes required documentation (Behavioral/Incident/Compliant/Progress/Attendance records, etc.).
• Follows Medicaid guidelines for vehicle use and mileage/billing records.
• Reports incidents or emergencies immediately; this is a safety-sensitive position.
• Assists in Plan of Care development and ensures health, safety and security.
• Follows medication management guidelines and documents procedures.
• Organizes and carries out recreational activities for clients.
• Models appropriate behavior, adheres to dress code, and represents FCC positively.
• Maintains FCC facilities/grounds cleanliness and vehicle maintenance.
• Attends necessary training and maintains proof of liability insurance; may drive personal vehicle.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Education
