Job summary

Oak Hill is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Part-Time, Evenings) in Watertown, CT. The role focuses on person-centered care in a residential setting, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live with independence and dignity.

Weekly hours are 30, with evenings from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $19.40 per hour, based on shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to transport individuals in agency vehicles.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and pre-employment health screenings.
• Ability to complete required training programs and maintain necessary certifications.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and professional work environment in accordance with Oak Hill policies.
• Commitment to continuity of care, including an occasional need to stay beyond a scheduled shift until coverage is in place.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities and independence.
• Monitor health and administer medications per plan.
• Promote community inclusion and transport to appointments and activities.
• Provide physical support for mobility and transfers.
• Document daily activities and health information in the electronic health record and comply with regulations.
