Oak Hill is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bozrah, CT to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The role emphasizes compassion, independence, and community inclusion, with required trainings and certifications provided.

Compensation starts at $20.39 per hour with base rate and schedule-dependent differential pay. PTO and benefits are included; paid training is provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to transport individuals in agency vehicles.
• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and pre-employment health screenings.
• Ability to complete required training programs and maintain certifications.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and professional work environment.
• Willingness to stay beyond scheduled shift when coverage is needed.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily living activities and independence.
• Monitor health information and document vital signs as required.
• Administer medications and maintain medication records per directives.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities.
• Prepare meals and provide mealtime support according to menus and preferences.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using approved equipment.
• Document daily activities and health information in the EHR; follow regulations.
• Respond to emergencies with First Aid/CPR when required; follow safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team and participate in trainings.
