Job summary

WMJ Services is seeking an Evening School Custodian/Janitor in Hesperia to keep school facilities clean and safe after hours. Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms, disposing of trash, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning to support a healthy learning environment.

No experience is required; you must be at least 18, able to lift up to 25 pounds, and pass a background check. Shifts run 4:00pm–8:00pm, 4:00pm–9:00pm, or 4:00pm–10:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for the role.
• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify.
• Able to communicate with manager and staff about issues and supplies.
• Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to use basic cleaning equipment safely.
• Must pass a background check and fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of school facilities.
• Clean, stock and sanitize restrooms.
• Dispose of trash and manage recycling.
• Mop and sweep floors daily.
• Dust surfaces and perform general cleaning.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces.

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of School Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience/No Problem!
• MUST be at least 18 years of age
• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprints

Role of School Custodian/Janitor:
