Job summary

UNT Health Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Custodian to supervise custodial crews, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will schedule work, monitor quality, and address issues to maintain facilities to campus standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and several years of custodial experience; supervisory skills and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Ability to supervise and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of custodial procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.
• Supervises and assigns the work of others as well as performs all custodial and floor care work as needed to ensure completeness.
• Assists with maintaining time sheets for the group of employees assigned.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for the purpose of ensuring items are available to perform cleaning functions and safety.
• Performs routine quality inspections and manages floor care schedules and work orders for assigned buildings.
• Manages custodial supplies and inventory.
• Performs routine supervisory duties including clerical tasks and basic computation.
• Responsible for daily sign in of keys.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all faculty, staff, and students.
• Assists in establishing goals and objectives for the team through performance management.
