Job summary

University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth seeks a Custodian to maintain clean and safe facilities across the campus. Responsibilities include disinfecting restrooms, cleaning offices and laboratories, vacuuming, trash and recycling removal, and maintaining common areas.

This 1.0 FTE position offers steady evening and weekend shifts, no formal education requirement, and TRS-eligible retirement.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
Ability to operate standard tools and cleaning equipment.
Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time.
Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.
Ability to operate a PC for basic software and internet tasks.

Responsibilities

Sweep, scrub, mop, wash, polish and wax floors and vacuum carpets.
Dust, wash, and polish furniture and woodwork.
Empty and clean waste receptacles.
Wash and clean windows, walls, and chalkboards.
Clean and maintain restrooms, showers, lockers, cafeterias, offices and related facilities.
Sweep sidewalks, pick up papers and clean drinking fountains.
Polish metal work and replenish supplies and dispensers.
Operate vacuums and floor cleaning/polishing machines.
Deliver supplies between campus locations.
