Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a CSICU RN for evening shifts (11 AM–7:30 PM) with no weekends. Provides high-acuity care to critically ill patients in a 7‑day schedule, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Iowa RN license, BSN preferred, BLS, ACLS within 12 months, and experience in critical care or related units. Relocation incentives may apply, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• ECMO course/experience for specialists optional.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and lead in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, high-quality care for critically ill patients using evidence-based practice.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care, delegating tasks and collaborating with teams.
• Regularly reassesses patients, updates care plans, and documents thoroughly.
• Communicates patient status during shift transitions and with physicians.
• Adheres to infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Supports and may supervise LPN and nursing staff as required.
