Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in West Des Moines, IA seeks an ICU RN for day shifts on a full-time, 36-hour per week schedule. The role covers high-risk patients in a specialized ICU, with ECMO care possible and a focus on safe, evidence-based, culturally competent care.

Qualifications include an Associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS/ACLS within 12 months, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• ICU nursing experience or strong critical care background preferred.
• BSN or higher degree is preferred; associate degree required.
• Current Iowa RN license (IL license if practicing in IL) and BLS/ACLS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care; develop outcome-based plans.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Document reassessments and care plans; ensure accurate charting.
• Communicate patient status across teams and during shift changes.
• Manage ECMO care when applicable, including data documentation.
