Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health is seeking a CSICU Registered Nurse for evening shifts in Des Moines, IA. This full-time role requires assessing and coordinating care for critically ill patients, including ECMO patients when applicable, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Typical evenings are 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirements. The ideal candidate holds an Iowa RN license, an Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and recent critical care

Qualifications

• RN licensure (Iowa) active.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification.
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
• Cardiac monitoring course or equivalent critical care training.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care; develop outcome-based care plans.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care with the nursing team.
• Regularly reassess patients and document care plans.
• Communicate patient status across teams and during shifts.
• Administer medications safely and follow protocols.
• Provide advanced ECMO care and data documentation where applicable.
• Deliver age-appropriate care and maintain infection control.
