Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health is seeking a CMICU RN for the 12-hour night shift to provide high-level care in the ICU setting in Des Moines, IA. The role emphasizes assessment, care coordination, and documentation under a night schedule (7 PM – 7 AM).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 12 months.
• TNCC; NVCI within 6 months.
• Experience in critical care preferred; considered.
• Ability to work under pressure and lead others.
• ECMO training/experience if caring for ECMO patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care; develop outcome-based plans.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care; delegate tasks and collaborate with teams.
• Regularly reassess patients; update care plans and document thoroughly.
• Communicate patient status and needs across teams and during shifts.
• Follow protocols; administer medications; utilize required systems.
