Job summary

Crisis Connections is hiring a Crisis Services Clinician for Dispatch (RCL) in Seattle, WA. This in-person, full-time swing shift (4 PM–12 AM PT) role pays $37.24/hour and is union-represented (OPEIU).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social science or related field.
• Eligible for, pursuing, or have an Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) licensure or higher (licensure costs reimbursed).
• At least 2 years of supervised clinical experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness.
• Strong clinical judgment, calm decision-making, and comfort in high-pressure situations.
• Prior leadership, supervision, or consultation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, suicide risk evaluation, and crisis intervention via telephone.
• Serve as the clinical lead on shift, offering real-time consultation and support to crisis staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate crisis response, including hospital diversion, triage, and first-responder coordination.
• Authorize inpatient services using clinical judgment and least-restrictive care principles.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to high clinical and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with community partners, hospitals, mobile crisis teams, and public mental health agencies.
