Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone, a not-for-profit provider of senior care, is seeking a kitchen staff member to prepare, cook and portion meals for patients, residents and staff at the Pipestone, MN facility.

You will follow menu guidelines, HACCP and sanitation standards, maintain labeling and storage, and work with a dedicated team to deliver quality food. Evening shift; full-time schedule at 30 hours per week; on-the-job training provided with possible Serv Safe requirements depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math skills.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location.
• BLS may be required depending on location.
• Valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks and portions food for patients, residents and staff following menu and dietary requirements.
• Maintains food quality, appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation standards.
• Washes and cleans kitchen areas and maintains labeling and storage of food and equipment.
• Follows HACCP guidelines and production sheets for daily menus.
• Communicates effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operation.
