Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook I to join our team in a part-time rotation shift at ATLAS ROSSVILLE REHAB & HEALTHCARE CENTER. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events, following Sodexo culinary standards and safety guidelines.

We value teamwork and food safety; candidates should be able to read recipes, follow instructions, and stand for long periods. Benefits include paid time off and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and directions for preparing, cooking, and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure food safety.
• Assist with inventory and supplies as needed.
