Marvin is hiring a Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment. The role involves working Monday through Thursday nights with overtime on Fridays and requires collaboration with the maintenance team to implement changes using PLC programming software and EAM documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of related experience and an associate’s degree in a technical field, with the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance supervisor with feedback on controls changes and wiring or programming changes.
• Observe equipment to detect hazards and issues needing service.
• Troubleshoot equipment using PLC programming software.
• Document repairs and PM maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
• Identify problems related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Maintain backups of programs for electrical devices.
• Work with maintenance to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Document set-points and parameters for equipment concisely and accurately.
