Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated CNC Mill Setup Machinist for the 2nd shift to join our precision manufacturing team in Blaine, MN. This permanent role focuses on setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components for various industries.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of CNC experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with Mastercam and G Code. Overtime availability and a collaborative working environment are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machinist experience with setup and milling.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools.
• Experience with tool and die setup and operation.
• Experience with CMM part inspection.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify conformance to specifications.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Calculate and adjust controls for speed, feed, coolant, and depth of cut.
• Monitor machining for proper speed and performance and adjust as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist with programming using Mastercam and G Code.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Use CMM for part inspection.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
