Job summary

MultiSource Manufacturing LLC is seeking a CNC Set-up Machinist for a weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00am–6:30pm) or 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:30pm–2:00am) in Fridley, MN. You will set up, operate, and verify a range of Swiss, lathe, and mill CNC machines handling tight tolerances.

We require 5–7 years CNC setup/operating experience, a high school diploma or Vo-Tech training, and the ability to read blueprints with good English. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of Vo-Tech training in machine tool technology or a related area or equivalent.
• At least 5 to 7 years of CNC machine set-up and operating experience in a job shop environment.
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Very strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up, operates, and verifies the quality of work on Swiss, Lathe or Mill CNC machines.
• Performs routine or repetitive operations to meet quality and production standards.
• Monitors variations in sequence and makes necessary corrections.
• Selects and aligns tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining.
• Performs in-process inspection of own work while running machine.
• Maintains organized material and paperwork and a neat work area.
