Job summary

Master Machine, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a CNC Machinist for a full-time, on-site position. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

The role requires interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling, making machine offsets, and occasionally programming at the machine. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and set up CNC equipment with strong machining skills.
• General programming knowledge for at-machine input and adjustments.
• First‑time run‑through on programs under minimal supervision with proper documentation.
• Proficiency in milling and/or turning and working with precision machinery.
• Experience with quality control including calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• On-site manufacturing work requiring standing for long periods.
• Previous CNC Machinist experience; trade school or certification is beneficial.
• Basic computer skills for programming input and production tracking.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision parts per drawings.
• Interpret blueprints, select tooling, and perform machine offsets and adjustments.
• Program at the machine when needed and document setup information for repeat runs.
• Inspect finished parts for quality using calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to resolve production issues and maintain safety.
