Job summary

EPTAM Precision Micro-Machining in Lakeville, MN is seeking a Machinist (Milling) for the 2nd shift. The role requires setting up and operating milling machines, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality per customer specifications.

Candidates should have 4+ years' CNC milling experience and CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred). This position offers strong growth and participation in a quality-driven ISO/FDA environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or vocational training in machine tool technology or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years' experience with CNC Milling and CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred).
• Experience with CNC Swiss turning is noted but Milling focus emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, and support maintenance of machines.
• Inspect parts to ensure tolerances and surface finishes meet customer requirements.
• Perform machine setups with accurate timekeeping, tool monitoring and SPC methods.
• Complete independent parts inspections using various inspection methods, including microscopy.
• Identify material, technical, production and safety issues impacting schedule; communicate to department lead.
• Knowledge of metals and their properties; work with team and respond professionally to feedback.
• Collaborate with team to accommodate production schedule changes; represent company during audits.
• Ensure adherence to SOP and QMS; notify lead of non-conformance and assist root-cause analysis.
