Job summary

LeoForce in Blaine, MN is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Mill Setup Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines, interpret blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances through careful metrology and process control.

The role requires at least 5 years of CNC milling experience, proficiency with Mastercam and G Code, and a strong mechanical aptitude. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for overtime and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in CNC milling setup and operation.
• Proficient with precision metrology tools.
• Experience with tool and die setup and operation.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work the 2nd shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify conformance to specifications.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
• Calculate and set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during machining and adjust as needed.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist with programming using Mastercam and G Code.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Use CMM for inspection of parts.
• Adhere to safety protocols.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist for our 2nd shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components for various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting company objectives for safety, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine performance.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist with programming machines using Mastercam and G Code.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Use CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspection of parts.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with setup and operation of CNC milling machines.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with tool and die setup and operation.
• Experience with CMM machines for part inspection.
• Knowledge of tooling and lathe operations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work the 2nd shift and overtime as required.
