Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, AR is seeking a skilled machinist for a 1st shift onsite role. You will set up and operate conventional, special purpose and CNC machines to fabricate and repair parts, reading drawings to determine setup needs and ensuring all measurements meet specifications.

Maintain tools, fixtures and setup docs in a climate controlled facility. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience; a technical trade background is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, manuals and specifications to determine set‑up requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate/repair parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals and specifications to determine machine and setup requirements.
• Set up fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories as needed.
• Perform operator level maintenance of machines and setup documents.
• Use micrometers, calipers and other devices to verify dimensions and tolerance.
