Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Machinist Technician for the PSD site in Springdale, AR on an AWW weekend shift with Friday–Sunday 6:00 AM–6:30 PM hours and an 8% shift differential. The role includes training on first shift and requires adherence to FAA-regulated procedures.

The position involves operating CNC and conventional machines, reading blueprints, preparing fixtures, and maintaining equipment in a climate-controlled, safe machining center.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set‑up requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate/repair parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine setup requirements.
• Set-up and prepare fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
• Perform operator level maintenance of machines and setup documents.
• Use micrometers, calipers to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
