Job summary

The Good Samaritan not-for-profit organization invites applications for a Nursing Assistant position at the SD Rapid City St Martin facility. This full-time evening-shift role provides resident-centered care under an RN supervision, including daily living support, vital signs, and documentation.

Applicants must have CNA certification with the State Board (or in process within four months) and a GED or high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board or in process within four months.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Adheres to infection prevention and PPE policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor residents' condition and report changes.
• Assist with meals and dining to support nutrition.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes; communicate with charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry to maintain clean living areas.
• Support wellness and recreational activities for residents.
