Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support residents’ physical and psychosocial needs.

The role requires CNA certification or enrollment in a CNA program; the facility offers CNA training, ongoing education, and a supportive work environment focused on compassionate care. Shift: Evening; Full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual continuing education credits requirements and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning and mobility using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and wellness activities; document interactions and changes in condition.
